The ancient urban life in Lezha dates from the year 385 BC and the town was known with the name “Lissus”.

Lezha is declared Archeological Park, where is located the grave of our National Hero, Gjergj Kastrioti, the obelisk of Beselidhja and the Castle of Lezha. Migration during ’90 increased the population of the town.
